The ascendancy through an organisation often means the further from delivery people become. This is true within most consultancies, resulting in your most senior consultants (partners) taking on responsibility for business administration in the ivory tower, as opposed to leading assignments and solving clients issues at the coal face. It is time for consultancies to challenge this modus operandi.
We all know that people buy from people, and that those with the greatest credibility are those known for delivery, so I was keen to see a shift in how our senior consultants are utilised and deployed. Our partners have returned to the coal face and resumed responsibility for leading and delivering strategic complex assignments. In turn they have strengthened client relationships and now provide hands on leadership to our consultants delivering on behalf of our clients.
I am confident that the focus on client delivery will be the basis of sound growth for our business in the months and years to come.
