Plans presented for new South Bank Facility
3 February 2017
Leeds College of Building, working in conjunction with project managers CPC Project Services and architects Fuse Studios, are presenting their proposals to the Plans Panel for their new South Bank facility, supported by a grant from the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
As part of the Colleges plan to improve facilities for students and staff - Leeds College of Building is proposing a new building immediately to the north of its existing phase one premises on Cudbear Street. The college has secured funding from the LEP to develop a new 56,000 sq ft building and subject to planning permission, would like to commence works on-site in summer 2017, with a completion in July 2018.
The property would incorporate a combination of workshop, classroom and shared, communal facilities and would primarily accommodate students studying mechanical services such as plumbing, heating and ventilation, plus other courses relating to infrastructure.
