The pathology services at the Trust were being integrated onto one site requiring new state of the art blood sciences equipment, expansion of its specimen reception, microbiology and histology services and new office suites.
The project was procured with the Trust’s PFI partners using the PFI TVE stage gate processes.
CPC was appointed to provide project management and contract administration support to the Trust’s capital planning department to integrate the pathology services from two sites into one central facility.
Our team provided robust project governance; risk and opportunities management; and VFM through effective stakeholder engagement with Health for North London (H4NEL), the Care Quality Commission (CQC), healthcare planners, clinical leads and the PFI team.
We led detailed consultations and formed stakeholder programme group meetings to strategically agree the works around one of largest and busiest acute hospital trusts in England.
The project included temporary facilities to be created at a sister hospital so that the HBN/HTN designed building could be completed on time and on budget.
