Local Government

“The question today is this: how do we make things better without just spending money? We're going to shape government in a way it has never existed before so we use our instincts... our understanding of how people and communities really work...to deliver more for less."
Rt Hon David Cameron, Prime Minister

Local government is on the frontline and its ability to deliver affects lives. It faces tough new challenges including demographic change, rising expectations, a much tighter spending environment and a mandate to deliver ‘More for Less’.

With a demanding community, an ageing population and more housing required there is now a need for more effective and efficient services and for improved partnership with commissioners and service providers. The Government’s agenda will transfer the responsibility for public health provision to Councils and the link between poor quality housing and poor health will need to be evidenced and addressed. Shared public sector service provision will become the norm. These are the demands of the day and we can help.

Our experts have a powerful track record, helping local government clients tackle the problems they face. We have a depth of understanding across council services with particular specialisms in Housing, Corporate Services, Revenues and Benefits and Adult and Children’s Social Care.

We are effective because we understand the communities our clients serve. It allows us to bring simplicity and add value to complex arrangements through whole systems thinking across councils and local partnerships. It empowers our team to look at the breadth and depth of a community and to focus on improving outcomes for everyone by involving the widest range of partners, including the community itself.

This approach drives results and cost-efficient end-to-end services for local government.

what our clients say

“Trustworthy and driven – they deliver what they say and agree they will. Delivered good value on several projects bringing them in under budget. No evidence of ‘padding’ to use up budgetary allocation.”
