CPC sign up to EDI Charter
CPC is one of the first companies to sign up to RIA and Women in Rail’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Charter which was launched at the RIA Annual Conference this week.
The charter aims to bring together the UK rail industry to demonstrate its commitment to building a better, more balanced, fairer and more inclusive workforce across all sectors.
The EDI Charter for Rail demands that organisations have a tangible action plan to provide a road map for improvement. Signatories must also employ the appropriate leadership, resources and accountability to make sure that they are delivering on their pledges and continuing to make good progress against their action plans.
Siobhan Delany, CPC Partner and Head of HR said “Diversity of thought, equality of opportunity and inclusive cultures are vital to improve the performance of any business. We are delighted that RIA and Women in Rail have created this initiative with their EDI Charter, and are proud to be one of the first signatories.
It is now up to us to make sure that we are delivering on our commitment to drive through the changes that are needed, and play our part in working together with the rail industry to make a positive impact on the workplace”
