London Tramlink

Wimbledon Line Enhancement

The Wimbledon Line Enhancement Programme seeks to create the additional capacity required to meet the growing demand in tram services and reduce congestion on the Wimbledon branch of the London Tramlink network. Construction is being completed using a number of blockades on the network ranging from 52 hours to 15 weeks.

CPC worked alongside the Client’s in-house team to deliver this £30m investment including 2km of double tracking, a new platform at Network Rail’s Wimbledon station, procurement of four new trams and twin tracking with associated infrastructure enhancements to the network.  CPC provided pre-tender estimating and contract procurement services for the £8m main works contract.
